In the year 2000, Ajay Castelino (aka. Ahjay Stelino) and Deshita Edirisurya designed a composite guitar. This guitar was designed as final year project for a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Auckland(BE(mech).).

Over the course of the academic year (Feb'00-Nov'00), they performed experiments, played around and jammed till late hours of the night (yeah right). The end result- is a guitar of astonishing beauty and tone.
